The welding station is required for welding of 19 and 37 Zircaloy-4 fuel elements
arranged in a circular configuration with two Zircaloy-4 end plates on both ends of
elements by resistance welding process under argon atmosphere.
The production rate for 19 element bundle & 37 element bundles are 10 & 6 fuel
assemblies/hour respectively.
The Bundle Assembly/Cluster is a cluster of 19 or 37 numbers of fuel elements arranged
in circular configuration.
Two endplates are welded at both ends of 19 elements and 37 elements for attaining
required integrity.
